About Sam

A teacher, coach, and guide at heart, Sam Kinsman has nearly 10 years of experience in the test prep industry. He has spent more than 5,000 hours tutoring students for the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT, and has led dozens of clients to 99th percentile scores. 

With a strong background in both math and English, Sam is highly qualified to tutor students for all sections of their tests. He attended Brown University, where he took a broad range of social science, natural science, math and humanities courses before ultimately deciding to major in Economics. As a student at Brown, Sam managed his own test prep company, preparing high schoolers from the Providence, RI area for the SAT.

After graduating, Sam chose to pursue his passion for teaching full-time. He now has 10 years of experience in the test prep industry, and has worked for top international companies including Magoosh in San Francisco, Brix Education in London, and Admissionado in Los Angeles. In addition to coaching students to top scores, Sam has written test prep curriculums, developed strategies, taught workshops, trained teachers, and led a team of 10 SAT math tutors. He has also guided students through the essay-writing and university application process, leading to acceptances from top schools including MIT, Cornell, Northeastern, USC, Boston University, UCLA, and the London School of Economics.

Over the years, Sam’s targeted approach and interactive classes have helped hundreds of students raise their test scores significantly. Sam has coached dozens of ambitious students to 99th percentile scores, which led him to develop a reputation as the “go-to” tutor for students who are eager and motivated to achieve a top test score.
