University Admissions Consulting
Throughout his 10 years of experience in the test prep and educational consulting industry, Sam has guided dozens of students through the intricacies of the essay-writing and university application process.
Here’s is how Sam’s typical engagement with a student unfolds
Step 1
To start the process, Sam has an in-depth conversation with the student about their interests, extracurricular activities, hobbies, likes, dislikes, and personal experiences.
Step 2
After gaining a clear picture of the student’s background and personality, Sam develops a strategy to best position their profile.
Step 3
Sam works with the student and parents to create a list of reach, match and safety schools based on the student’s preferences, and helps families make strategic choices on where to apply early.
Step 4
Sam and the student brainstorm the essays together, and carefully pick topics that will convey the strengths and characteristics that highlight their profile.
Step 5
Together, Sam and the student go through an iterative essay drafting process, until they reach final products that are clear, compelling, and highly engaging.
Step 6
Sam advises the student on other application components, such as the activity list, CV, recommendation letters, and portfolio.
Step 7
Once applications have been submitted, Sam coaches students for interviews and provides support with waitlist strategy and school selection.
